About Me

I enjoy teaching because I wholeheartedly believe in the potential of young people.  Children are also observant, kind, and creative and I am inspired by them every day! I have always understood the richness that a good education can bring to a person’s life so I want to be an effective part of that process for my students.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from California State University, Chico. I then accepted a position with AmeriCorps working with children and it was then that I discovered my love of teaching. I went back to schools and earned my Masters in Education at Eastern Oregon University and to date have been teaching for 12 years.

I have lived in California, Oregon, Idaho, and Vermont but Utah is where my family and I have decided to settle. We love the amazing access to the outdoors. I love to bike, ski, and hike all over the beautiful Wasatch Mountains.
